We recommend the dealers choice, the Panasonic Toughbook, built for harsh environments. . A proven performer with shock protection built in. Magnesium impact resistant outer case absorbs shock with virtually no impact delivered to internal boards, connected via ribbon connector's. The hard disc cassette is quadruple protected with silicone cushion that envelopes the hard drive, and the inertia switch delays hard disc writing when falling. With the spill proof features, no after market enclosure is as durable in the automotive environment.

In the event of PC failure you can load the software on any computer and be working again the same day. No delays in shipping for repairs! In a pinch we connect you and your car with factory trained technicians via the Internet* from a remote location we access the car's data port with you to ensure repair by applying factory systems. Currently we cover Mercedes Benz, BMW and Volvo with ADRC. Porsche and VAG, coming soon.

Important - RS-232 PORT - The most durable + consistant connection for diagnostics and programming. RS-232 is needed for connectivity for; Mercede's DAS, Volvo's VADIS, Win-Star, Magus, and Vedis. The cable will run through a USB > RS-232 adapter. In the field I do not suggest USB connection. When programming the thumbscrews on the RS-232 connector are a huge comfort.
