Time-Sert
We have been a stocking distributer of Time-Sert thread repair systems for twenty years. Click HERE to review "advantages that are convincing", but the low down on Time-Sert is a no games type of repair for a stripped threaded hole.
I have never seen a load test for comparison pull out stat's on threaded inserts but I think you could argue the differences between a solid insert vs a spring shaped repair till the sun comes up. I do not know of anything thinner than a Heli-coil or a Time-Sert.The real advantages are in the installation:

After installation advantages are in the locking feature found ONLY in the Time-Sert system. If your repair is actually LEAVING YOUR SHOP than the only choice is the thin wall insert system that will never back out when installed correctly. Do you wonder if the shop after you that finds the Heli-Coil insert missing/backing out will defend your repair?
