Win-Star's computer based diagnostic system delivers dealer level diagnostics, reads and clears codes, live data, actuation's, coding, adaptations and programming.
The dealers are using PC based platforms because it encourages evolution. The IBM T-30 in the picture is an OK choice. We recommend the dealers choice, the touch screen Panasonic Toughbook, built for harsh environments. Look for info under computers link above. A proven performer with shock protection built in. Magnesium impact resistant outer case absorbs shock with virtually no impact delivered to internal boards, connected via ribbon connector's. The hard disc cassette is quadruple protected with silicone cushion that envelopes the hard drive, and the inertia switch delays hard disc writing when falling. With the spill proof features, no after market enclosure is as durable in the automotive environment. Features include a RS-232  port.
Win-Star's choice of a PC based operating system gives you the same great advantage. This practical design puts the shop owner in the driver's seat. In the event of PC failure you can load the software on any computer and be working again the same day. No delays in shipping for repairs!
